Bar Point Backgammon · October 1, 2026
This is a small backgammon game for friends and the people they invite. It keeps only what it needs to run the game, and it sells or gives none of it to anyone.
What the game keeps
- Your name in the game, and your password in a scrambled form that can’t be read back.
- If you use Sign in with Google: your Google account’s ID number and its email address, so the game knows you next time. The game asks Google for nothing else, and never sees your Google password.
- Your games: every roll, move and result, your tables and tallies, and your settings.
- What you post on the community board, with any photos you add.
- A log of sign-ins and sign-outs, with the time and the internet address they came from, to look into anything odd. Passwords are never in it.
Who else sees anything
- Other players see your name, your games with them and what you post on the board. They never see your email address. The person who runs the game can see it.
- The game runs on Fly.io’s servers in the United States, which also hold its backups.
- When you ask the coach “Why?”, the position on the board is sent to Anthropic, which makes the coach’s answer. No names go with it.
- The game’s typefaces come from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for them.
- If you tap Sign in with Google, Google learns that you signed in to this game.
